Andy Warhol (1928-1987)


Born in Pittsburgh of Pennsylvania, Andy Warhol is seen as one of the most famous artists in the 20th century as the advocator, leader, as well as the most influential artist of Pop art. He made bold attempts with varied copying techniques, such as relief printing, rubber or wood rubbing, gold foil technology and photo copying. Warhol is not only the leader of Pop art, but also the well-known star in the social and art circle, acting as the film producer, writer, rock music composer and publisher.
