Wu Dawei, born in Inner Mongolia in 1982 and graduated from the First Studio of the Sculpture Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2007. He currently works and lives in Beijing.

Wu Dawei began to create a series of paintings in 2022. The "Reference" series has a certain narrative and symbolism, in order to present his perception of reality and the thoughts it brings; the "Forms in Space" series focuses on the exploration of space and forms, the presentation, combination and deformation of forms in virtual space, showing the multidimensionality of space and the plasticity of forms. These two series can be seen as a continuation of the artist's previous relief series in terms of creative concept and expression form.
