Soka Art is proud to announce that we will hold a solo exhibition of "Verdiales of the Forsaken Hamlet" Wang Tingyu from August 26th to October 3rd. In this new solo exhibition, Wang Tingyu breaks away from the single outline between the constellation and the map, gradually transforms into the concept of geographic cartography, and begins to focus on the collocation between images and extend new meanings.

In Wang Tingyu's creations, "maps" occupies a pivotal position. Whether it is sky map, nautical chart or map, they have been used many times in his works. In this solo exhibition, Wang Tingyu wants to talk about virtual maps in video games. The exhibition "Verdiales of the Forsaken Hamlet" is mainly another "side mission" in personal, time or graphic painting. The historical significance of painting seems to have been finally judged today. Just like the idea that "painting is dead" that arises with the invention of photography. But for Wang Tingyu, painting is still dealing with many images, continuously thinking and flowing as an artistic language.
