Soka Art Beijing is honored to introduce the second solo exhibition of Zeng Jianyong: Tangram. 22 pieces new artworks will be shown in the new exhibition start from 14th august.During the COVID-19 pandemic, Zeng start to think about the connection with nature and living space. He continues to seek challenges within his work and is currently exploring the interplay between two and three-dimensional structures. In this exhibition, Zeng Jianyong opens a dialog on the relations between human's living space and nature.
Zeng Jianyong was born in 1971 in Chenghai, Guangdong and currently lives and works in Beijing. Zeng's paintings continue the traditional Chinese landscape composition of "three distances". In the meantime,Zeng also has been creating his artworks with unique technique using materials which are associated with traditional Chinese painting, handmade paper, inks, and watercolors.Zeng Jianyong 's more recent work has focused on child portrait, his work are more dreamlike than traditional Chinese ink paintings, skirting the border between make-believe and reality.
