Following last year's " Beyond Free-Spirited - Yu Peng Solo Exhibition," Soka Art will present "Clarifying the Mind at a Thatched Cottage - Yu Peng Solo Exhibition" from April 12 to May 17. Throughout his life, Yu Peng dedicated himself to transforming his home garden into a traditional Chinese garden. In the bustling city center, he created "Gui Yin Lu", which he described as "a place where lofty aspirations need not dwell in seclusion." "Clarifying the Mind at a Thatched Cottage" reflects Yu Peng's life philosophy—remaining undisturbed by external chaos while freely pursuing spiritual liberation.

From November 26 to December 16, 2024, Soka Art will present "Beyond Free-Spirited_Yu Peng Solo Exhibition", showcasing the extraordinary vision of Yu Peng, a renowned artist celebrated for his uninhibited and free-spirited nature. Known for his deep affinity for wine and the natural world, Yu infused his life, philosophy, and spirituality into his art, creating a distinctive style of surreal and fantastical landscapes. The exhibition’s title, “Beyond Free-Spirited”, reflects both his unrestrained approach to life and his ability to transcend the visible, capturing profound and elusive meanings within his works. This exhibition will highlight 12 rare masterpieces from 2010–2011, including both oil paintings and ink works. Yu Peng famously stated, “I exchange my life for my art,” a sentiment that encapsulates his lifelong devotion to creative expression.
