Yage Guo (b. 1998 in Inner Mongol, CN) lives and works in London and Shanghai. Her artwork spans a wide range of disciplines, including oil paintings on wood panels and canvas, pencil drawings, and bookmaking. Drawing inspiration from literature, nature, and mythology, she employs ethereal brush strokes to capture fleeting moments of portraiture, flowers, and landscapes, imbuing them with her own emotions and personal memories. Within her works, people and objects do not merely exist to depict their appearances, but rather extend into metaphorical expressions that provoke viewers to contemplate the passage of time and emotional connotations.

Guo achieved both Bachelor and Master of Fine Art degrees with first-class honours from the Slade School of Fine Art from 2017 to 2022. Her recent group exhibitions include A Gauzy Flame, Herald St, London. Under The Jaguar Sun, Kravitz Contemporary, London. Eat Drink Man Woman, The 180 Strand, London. What Now? PM/AM Gallery, London. She is also scheduled to participate in upcoming group shows with Gene Gallery in Shanghai, a duo-artist show at Sherbet Green in London, and a group show at Soka Art Centre. In 2022, her work was featured in Art Maze Mag Issue 29.
