The artist takes the private daily life of the individual as the starting point to engage in a much broader reflection on human beings' experience of existence, the multi-faceted relationship between people and their surroundings, the impact of technology in shaping our lives and our identities. In his works, personal memories, individual emotions, and collective feelings are reactivated through a complex system of visual metaphors, references, and symbols.  Li masters the technique of impasto to highlight the texture and special attributes of oil painting material, presenting its three-dimensional character and the sense of sculpture texture. The combination of abstract pigment accumulation and the strong chromaticty with some narrative elements brings visual vitality and perceptive rhythm. The boundaries between abstract and concrete, flatness and thickness, stability and ephemerality are blurred.

His works have been exhibited at the National Art Museum of China, Hong Kong Maritime Museum, Augsburg University, Parkview Green Art, Shandong Art Museum, and other institutions and they were presented in Germany, Costa Rica, Panama, etc.
