    Soka Art is pleased to announce that the group exhibition "Paris, Texas" will open on April 29th, 2023, and will run until May 28th, 2023. The exhibition, curated by Ruoqi Wu, invites eight young artists who have experience studying or living abroad, including Ye Cheng, Wuchao Feng, Shuling Guo, Xinran Liu, Yue Sun, Jingqi Wang, Zixiang Wei, and Nai-jen Yang, to showcase their recent practices. Based on their artworks, the exhibition aims to connect their inner monologues about self, belonging, and personal identity.

  • Utsukushi – Maho Takahashi Solo Exhibition

    2023 marks the third year of collaboration between Soka Art and the popular Japanese artist Maho Takahashi. With a sense of childlike fun, Maho’s artworks often feature digital girls in various poses with backgrounds consisting of gold foil, a traditional symbol of Japanese art. The artist ingeniously mixes classical and contemporary elements in a vividly contrasting art style that has been impressing many collectors.

  • Bifurcation of Confluence

    In human history, many civilizations originated from places with entwining mountains and rivers. As culturally diverse country, Taiwan is a land of converging mountains and rivers with an artistic environment that promises abundance and vibrancy. The 2023 Next Art Tainan features ten winners of the award and fourteen invited artists/art groups from around Taiwan, bringing together their works of divergent creative media that engage in different topics and issues. With the award’s unique mechanism as the foundation, the Next Art Tainan takes place in ten art galleries/art spaces in Tainan and is presented through various context of dialogue.

  • In the Mountains and Seas - Zhou Mingde and Wang Yiya dual exhibition

    Soka Art is pleased to announce that the duo exhibition In the Mountains and Seas by artists Zhou Mingde and Wang Yiya will be held from April 2, 2023, to April 23, 2023. Zhou Mingde uses mountains as the theme to create works, exploring the mysteries hidden within the changing natural landscape; Wang Yiya constructs a fantasy world on the sea, expressing philosophical thoughts of individual life from a delicate female perspective. The two artists project their inner selves into their paintings, just like mountains and sea meet again, bringing the power of nature and primal feelings into harmony.

By sketching, stacking, and interweaving imagery on canvas, artists express their memories and emotions into contour and colors with ease.
